CARNET ran the national e-Universities project from March 2022 to 30 June 2026. It covered network and computing infrastructure, rooms for hybrid and multimedia teaching, cybersecurity, information systems, education and user support.

New University network infrastructure

As part of the project, a new computer network was installed in all University of Dubrovnik buildings. The upgrade includes a new network core, passive cabling and active network equipment, as well as wireless access points covering teaching, working and shared spaces.

Under CARNET's categorisation, this investment belongs to Network infrastructure, specifically Network-LAN and Network-WiFi. The project technical specification for wireless access points calls for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax).

Multimedia and digital skills

The University of Dubrovnik participated in project activities, including documented multimedia-in-higher-education activities from 2024.
