This guide will be supplemented with photographs.This is a safe baseline procedure. Button, connector and source names will be matched to the equipment actually installed in the type C room.

Before the session

  1. Arrive a few minutes early and start the system at the labelled control point.
  2. Do not change cable connections between permanently installed devices.
  3. Select the built-in computer or connect your laptop to the labelled HDMI or USB-C connector.
  4. Select the appropriate video source and confirm that the presentation is displayed.

Hybrid teaching

  1. Check sound, microphone and camera before remote participants join.
  2. Frame the lecturer or the intended part of the room.
  3. In the meeting application, select the room microphone, speakers and camera.
  4. Run a short test with a remote participant before teaching starts.

After the session

  1. End the meeting and sign out of personal accounts.
  2. Disconnect your own laptop and accessories.
  3. Shut the system down at the control point and leave permanently installed equipment connected.

If equipment fails, submit a Helpdesk request with the building, room, time, selected source and affected device.
